All direct marketers love to test new creative. Sometimes, however, results are so close that it is hard to determine if success is really statistically significant or simply fortuitous. Testing a double control periodically can provide a good reality check. Include two separate control cells containing the identical content. It is interesting to see the variance in the performance of two identical packages sent to randomly selected donors or prospects.
